Hi everyone -

I'm Sharon Pleasant, Director of Admissions at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, MA. I came across this website by accident, but I'm glad I've found it. Thank you, Demetri, for setting this up. I am very interested in learning from others.
Hello! I am the Academic Technology Chair and Associate Systems Administrator at Miss Porter's School in central Connecticut. It is an all-girls boarding and day high school with 326 students. I am in my fifth year at Porter's. In addition to my various duties I am also the department chair for the computer science department. I look forward to collaborating with all of you on various issues.
Hi all.

I am the 8th grade history teacher and history department head at Castilleja School in Palo Alto, CA. We have just announced a 1-1 laptop program, to begin in the 2009-10 school year. At the moment I am looking at curriculum mapping for the school as well as trying to broaden the writing component of my own course though bringing in more web 2.0 writing assignments for next year.
Hi - I teach at Brooks School in Massachusetts. Our student body is about 350 students which includes 100 day students. I am the Head of Music, Head of Student Dining Services and I run a girls dorm with 18 girls.
I'm the Director of Academic Computing and chair of the Computer Science Department (all one of us!) at St. Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts. We're an Episcopal boarding school founded on the motto "do well what you do" (age quod agis -- the translation keeps evolving). My role is to help faculty teach well, providing support and guidance specifically on how to use technology as a teaching tool.
Hi! I'm a science specialist in St. Louis at the little and fabulous Rohan Woods School. We have students in Pre-K through Grade Six. I actually am using a Ning social network to work with my Sixth Grade Students. It is awesome!
Science education is my passion...and the focus of my doctoral studies.
I'm David Colon from Collegiate School in Richmond. I'm the Academic Dean. Looking over the posts, this looks like a great site. Thanks for setting it up!
I work in the Information Technology dept. of Milton Academy, a k-12 school just south of Boston. I help run a girls' dormitory of 40. Boarding starts in 9th grade, and the high school is half boarding, half day. I assistant directed a play there this fall, and help with random odds and ends as needed. Most of my friends will never really understand the academic life, espcially the dorm, so I'm looking forward to meeting people who do :)
Hi. I'm a fourth grade teacher in a small parochial school in suburban Minneapolis. I have a self-contained classroom so I teach all of the core subjects. My main passion is teaching reading/language arts. I am interested in continuing to integrate technology into teaching all my subjects and sharing ideas with others. I'd especially like to connect with other fourth grade teachers. So invite those from your schools to join!
Hello ISEN friends,
I am the Director of Information Technology at The Park School, Brookline, MA. Park is a coed day school of about 510 students from pre-K through grade 9. I have been in the technology seat here since 1993, having been a math and science teacher previously. My major outside passion is folk music.

Thanks to Dimitri for starting ISEN, and to the many other active contributors and thinkers who have enriched my professional life. I look forward to learning from you all.

-Tom Smith
Hello-

I am the Director of Assessment, Academic and Technology Services for Catholic School Management based out of CT, although I live in CA. I work nationally with Catholic elementary and high schools in various areas including curriculum development and technology integration.
Oops--I neglected to introduce myself when I jointed. I'm currently the Director of Information and Communication Technology at Graded - The American School of São Paulo. We are a preK-12 school with about 1160 students in the western suburb of Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to São Paulo, I was the Upper School IT Coordinator at Taipei American School and a middle school math and technology teacher at The American School in Japan. I got into teaching in 1998 after 15 years in engineering and project management. I'm currently working on an Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership from Pepperdine University.
