Open API for Blackbaud

We are interested in implementing a learning management system at our school that incorporates its own gradebook. We've been using FAWEB for a number of years. Does anyone know if Blackbaud makes available an API for Education Edge that would allow you to "replace" FAWEB with another gradebook? Basically we would like to use the enrollments in registrars office to enroll students in the LMS and then dump grade data back to Blackbaud.

Blackbaud has an API for EE. It's expensive and will cost more to program the interface. Considering that they just replaced the outsourced gradebook (can' remember what it was called, maybe GradeBook) in version 7, which is still the major version, it's possible that they have hooks in the API. I would call them up and ask.
