Sharing a document with a group

In the admin dashboard I created a group and put some domain users in it.

I created a google doc, and went to "sharing" and want to share it with this new group, but the group name is not found when I try to enter it.

any ideas?

It can take a while for new users and groups to show up in contact sharing--you should be able just to enter the address of the group.

Thanks so much Derrel! You were absolutely right... it just took some time for that group to become available in the search-suggestion drop-down box.

I wonder whether there is some way to make new documents (created from a Google Docs template) default to be shared with a specific group. I'll play with the setting.
