Independent School Educators network

Hello,

I am a 7th and 8th grade History teacher looking for resources on a WWII Field Trip. I'm hoping to find a program that simulates the bootcamp experience of WWII.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed!

How does the boot camp experience of World War II differ from that of today?  My idea is that maybe you can find someone with military experience (even better: someone with drill sergeant experience!) who could run a simulation for your class.  These people are probably far easier to find in a military town, but either way, you can still have your students have that emotional experience.

It's not a field trip, but you could probably do it as an assembly, and save some trouble and money.
