Job Opening- Chief Information Officer - Ransom Everglades School - Miami, Florida

Ransom Everglades School is an independent, co-ed, grade 6-12 school of 1,075 students in Coconut Grove, Florida located on two campuses.

Qualifications:  A Masters Degree and teaching experience in academic field of specialization.  Experience as a technology director or high level employee in a technology department in an independent school.   Knowledge of network design, planning, and management. Knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms.  Knowledge of Blackbaud platforms and databases.  Experience with the integration of smartboard technologies in the classroom.  A superb communicator with all constituents; a trainer and teacher; a troubleshooter; problem solver; possess personal skills to collaborate with a diverse demographic group of faculty, administrators and staff.

Responsibilities:  This position is a full-time, 12 month administrative position that reports to the Head of School and serves as a member of the Administrative Team.  The CIO will provide leadership of technology integrators, administrators, faculty and staff to explore digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning and encourage the creative use of technology among faculty and students to support learning.  The CIO will maintain a responsive and innovative technology culture that supports the learning environment and the mission of the school.  

The CIO will supervise the information technology department as well as the instructional technology staff.  The webmaster will report to the CIO, and the CIO will serve as the Chairperson of the faculty Technology Committee.

This administrator will also teach one academic class in field of specialization.
