Director of Information Resources and Technology for Schools of the Sacred Heart,

San Francisco

 

Founded in 1887 as an independent, Catholic school, Schools of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco carries on the educational mission of the Religious of the Sacred Heart. As a member of the nationwide Network of Sacred Heart Schools the School shares five common goals, committing itself to educate to: a personal and active faith in God; a deep respect for intellectual values; a social awareness that impels to action; the building of community as a Christian value, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.

 

A K-12, four-school complex made up of over 1000 students and 200 faculty/staff, Schools of the Sacred Heart offers the unique experience of single-sex education within a co-ed community. Students are expected to achieve their highest level of scholarship while learning to assume leadership roles as responsible, compassionate and contributing members of society.

 

Schools of the Sacred Heart seeks a dynamic and collaborative Director of Information Resources and Technology to provide strategic and visionary leadership in all areas of technology. The Director manages a technology department that is responsible for all data needs of the School: technology infrastructure, database and website development and management, information systems, integration of technology in the learning process, technology education and professional development.  The Director is a member of the Senior Administration and reports to the Director of Schools.

 

Qualifications

Advanced Degree in Educational/Institutional Technology or related field

Proven record of accomplishment in technology planning and technology personnel management, ideally in a K-12 academic setting

Experience developing purposeful, comprehensive, cohesive information systems following industry standard methods and protocols

Facility in preparing and managing detailed budgets

Familiarity with technology integration in classroom settings

Effective project management skills

Strong oral and written communication skills, including an ability to articulate a clear technology vision

Ability to mentor technical staff to high performance standards
