Responding to Michael Jenkins post re: further leadership PD after Klingenstein, if you have not done the NAIS Aspiring Heads Fellowship, I highly recommend it. I just returned tonight from the three and a half day long Aspiring Heads Institute, and it was a terrific experience. We have a great cohort, I have a fantastic mentor, and now I'm looking forward to designing and completing my project throughout the academic year. It's a great idea for furthering growth as a developing leader.

It's been a long time. I hope you're doing well.

Best,
Jon

Michael:
Have you heard about--or considered attending--anything like the Gardner Carney Leadership Inititiative's Leadership Lab at the Fountain Valley School in Colo. Spgs for 6 days in June?

Its premise is that it's designed "to teach teachers about teaching leadership."
You may be inquiring about some leadership development more for YOU than for your students. But it's not like these different foci are ENTIRELY unrelated....
Full disclosure: 2 of the 7 of us in this little Klingon/Ning group are on the gcLi L'ship Lab faculty (including me!). So maybe our views of its benefits aren't ENTIRELY objective.
But we also have an ex-Kling researcher w/ a doctorate who does our research of participants' experiences, take-aways, etc.
Many attest to gleaning many valuable insights from the program.
Just a(nother) possibility to consider, at any rate....
Cheers, Mike (Pardee)

Hey there fellow Klingensteiners. It's hard to believe my PSL year was 6 years ago. This summer, I want to participate in some Leadership PD and would like to know what some of you have done. NAIS/SLI? Have any of you participated in the Leadership Institutes from ISM? Wish we could have a summer Klingenstein alumni retreat, where we collectively share our ideas / experiences following Klingenstein.

Also, sorry I missed the gathering at NAIS. Did any of you attend?
