I have some student videos that are rather large (800+MG) and am having difficulty uploading...is anyone else having this problem? thoughts/ideas/suggestions all appreciated!

Hi Jan

The upload limit for moodle is controlled in the moodle site administration > security > site policies. The maximum upload size is usually about 8MB per file, which would explain your problem!
To get round this you could alter the php coding to allow larger file uploads, but it would probably be better to ftp the videos to the server.

Jeff
Thanks, Jeff...I will look into this.

Best,

Jan
I created a free DivShare.com account. I upload the videos there and link to them through Moodle. That's how I get around Moodle's size limitations.
We have an account with Blip.tv and we embed videos from there in our Moodle pages. Blip allows large uploads it converts to streaming and I think is free.
