Independent School Educators network

This morning, the group began with a review of how to use the SmartBoard, especially the gallery to make their lessons interactive. Then, Diane gave us a list of multimedia resources. Her emphasis and skill set are in multi-media, library media, and library science. We talked about downloading, copyright issues, of course, and shared sites which we use often. Student-created productions were discussed. Vital, a free resource but not downloadable, was mentioned as a great site. Student-based research projects using interactive/digital/iDVD sections were mentioned and sites offered for resources. Diane suggested creating iDVDs and then using it on the SmartBoard for projection and discussion purposes. We spent a bit of the morning discussing libraries of the future ... how they should/will look like- not a SmartBoard topic but interesting, none-the-less.....Will we become paperless, just technology-driven? Then, we went to SmartBoard Marketplace to check out possible lessons we might use/adapt to library media literacy and skill development.
