UBD is one way to approach curriculum mapping. Please note that there is a curriculum mapping group on this ISE network. This UBD group is intended to be a more specific place to discuss the UBD approach to backwards-design curriculum mapping.

If you haven't had a chance to read Schooling By Design (UBD applied to School-wide concerns), do so. Very valuable for administrators and teachers working on department-wide or school-wide curriculum.

I was way into UBD when I taught at Durham Academy several years ago - need to pick up that literature again and evaluate what I"m doing now...good things to be reminded about as we continually strive to be better.
