Smart Recorder Video Upload
Has anyone had trouble with this? I'm trying to upload a lesson recorded in Smart Notebook with the recorder feature....it is a .wmv file and am having no luck. No problem uploading other types of files. Any other experiences?

How large is the file? Is it more than 500 mb?

Have you tried Adobe Media Encoder? I don't know whether or not it takes .wmv files, but it turns videos into .flv, which is a WH friendly format.

Another option would be to upload it to Youtube and then embed the video on your site. We've been doing that for almost all our videos, since there's a LOT more we can do with it that way.

I downloaded several encoders and finally got one to work. We've had lots of luck with flip cameras etc....it was just the smartboard recorder files. Converting them to .flv wasn't the only thing I had to do. I have learned a lot about video- codec, 2 pass settings etc. The directions from brightcove on the WH website ended up helping a lot with the technical stuff.
