Instructions for Creating a Group

After reading the guidelines below, please click here to create a new group.

1. You are welcome to create new groups, but please search the existing groups to make sure there is not already one that exists for your topic or school.
 

2. When you create a new group, you will see the screen below. You do not need to change the "Group Address" box; it will just be the name of your group, without spaces. It is a good idea to choose an image to represent your group. Click this icon to upload an image for your group:

3. If you want to make your group private, choose "Moderated Membership." Please note that this cannot be changed later; though you could just create a new group that is not private.

4. If you make your group private, users will see this message when they try to access the group. The person will have a link to request membership if that is an option you chose in the previous step.
