Thanks for your reply. The fall would be a nice time to video chat – whenever you felt it was convenient. I was thinking that our students would enjoy hearing about what your students do and seeing some of the projects they have made for the First Lego League. Our 7th and 8th graders take Robotics as an elective, and our 6th graders have a required Robotics class for a semester, some in the fall and some in the spring. What do you think?
Cheers, Laurie
Thanks for joining the AIMS group! Ah yes, I can recall those early days of TRS-80s and also Commodore PETs. Fun to have been in on the start!
Cool that you participate in the First Lego League. We have robotics classes in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades but somehow haven't mustered the "umph" to go beyond our walls. Any chance you and your students might be up for a video chat with some of our 7th and 8th graders to tell them about what you're doing?
Cheers, Laurie
That sounds great! I will bring my daughter who has become extremely articulate and can answer questions about internet use and kids that parents need to hear.

This is really a good spot on the web!
Last year we didn't feel ready for a scrimmage, but did it anyway and we learned so much from the other team! Seeing how they solved things helped us fix programs and they had the same experience. Let us know if you might want to try this as we get closer...
