Apps for Android tablets

We are evaluating the Lenovo ThinkPad "slate" for classroom use and wondered what educational apps people recommend.  I would love to hear from both iPad and Android tablet users.  It seems there are so many great educational apps for the iPad; are there Android versions as well?See More

Moving from FirstClass to GMail

We are transitioning from FirstClass to GMail and would like to hear from other schools who have already gone through the process.  We are especially interested in learning how to replicate, as closely as possible, FirstClass features in GMail, such as conferences and email migration.  Also, we would welcome any tips to provide students and faculty as they learn this new system.

Snow Day Online Learning Plans?

I already posted this in the Blended Learning Group's discussions, but wanted to ask a broader audience: I am wondering how many of you have formal plans in place for learning to continue online during snow days or other school outages. We did some pandemic planning a couple of years ago in anticipation of the swine flu outbreak that didn't hit, but did not put anything concrete in place. I would love to hear: 1. If you had a formal plan in place- some of the details/expectations of teachers…See More

Hi Melissa,
I am thoroughly enjoying the online class! The conversations are thought provoking, and the process is stimulating. I'm glad you and Craig decided to facilitate it.
